Life Happens

The Power of Purpose and Planned Giving

Kim Hegwood | February 19, 2025

Today Kim Hegwood and the Life Happens Show welcomes John Martin from the American Cancer Society. The talk today is centered around having a purpose in life and how powerful that can be. Kim and Joh will also discuss planned giving and what that means.
John came to the American Cancer Society seeking an opportunity to utilize his entrepreneurial and community building skills to work with Estate Planning Professionals and their clients. Raising money for cancer research is an important and personal matter for John as he has had several friends and family members succumb to different forms of cancer.

Today’s discussion will be:

1. What is Purpose and do you have one?

2. It’s never too late to identify your purpose

3. Ways to be purposeful

4. Planned Giving purpose: Ways and Resources

If you would like to contact  John you can reach him by phone at (281) 218-0880(281) 218-0880or email john.martin@cancer.org.
