Qiana is the perfect guest for this show today. Not only does she have the professional knowledge but Qiana has been in caregiving roles with her own family. First with her beloved grandmother, affectionately called Mama Doll, and more recently with her father who has a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease. Today Qiana joins Kim to discuss how to balance your life, work, and caring for someone with Dementia. Kim will be asking Qiana the following questions:
1. Qiana, you are both a professional, and you are also very involved in the care of your elderly father who has dementia. Can you tell us more about that?

2. How do you avoid caregiver burnout and what do you advise your clients to do?

Qiana is a healthcare executive with an acumen for networking and has built a solid circle of business contacts from multiple industries. She obtained her BBA in Entrepreneurship & Management from the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. She is a graduate of the prestigious Cyvia and Melvyn Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship, the No. 2 Entrepreneurial Programs in the US.

Having aspired to be an entrepreneur since the tender age of eight, she was finally able to make that dream a reality in 2010 when she formed Friendly Faces Senior Care. This agency provides private pay in-home caregiver services for seniors; ensuring that seniors can live independent happy lives in the comfort of their own homes and be able to age in place with dignity and grace.
